I grew up in a house full of animals: cats, rabbits, fish, and hermit crabs. I spent my childhood playing pretend vet with my animals. Hence, it feels natural to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
I am a Pre-Veterinary Science major at the University of Delaware, Class of 2027.
My first exposure to animals was as a member of 4-H. In my junior year of high school, I attended EASTERN Center for Arts and Technology in the Animal Science program. I started working in the veterinary field in April of 2022 as an animal care specialist at Montgomery Animal Hospital. I also volunteer with an organization called Forgotten Cats.
When not working, I enjoy reading, primarily romance, sketching and watercolor, listening to indie/alt-rock music, and playing video games.
In addition to caring for our three indoor cats, I enjoy taking care of houseplants. I also enjoy picking flowers and arranging them in bouquets. I have practiced an environmentally and physically sustainable lifestyle by eating healthy, balanced meals and primarily shopping in thrift stores.
My favorite place is the beach because I love spending hours with a good book in the sun. When it gets too hot, a nice dip in the ocean helps refresh me. Being at the beach is the perfect way to relax and spend time with my family and friends.
I enjoy the little things in life, but I am diligent and thorough in my learning when it comes to veterinary medicine. I have dedicated myself to an education and a career with animals. I am incredibly grateful for the support I receive from family, friends, and coworkers.
